Federer also regained his Wimbledon crown by beating Andy Roddick in a pulsating final. Federer reached the final of the US Open losing to Juan Martin Del Potro, who using the K Six One 95, had an excellent year finishing the season as world number 5. Federer, regaining his crown as world number one from Rafael Nadal, is now only the second player since Lendl in 1989 to ever regain the number 1 spot since the rankings began in 1973.
