Roger Federer, using the Wilson K Six One Tour tennis racket, ends 2009 as world number 1 on the men’s ATP Tour circuit. This is despite not winning the ATP Tour finals held in London this year at the O2 arena. This year Federer managed to win the French Open at Roland Garros, for the first time in his career, beating Swede Robin Soderling in the final; thus becoming only the 6th man in history to ever win all four grand slam titles. Federer also regained his Wimbledon crown by beating Andy Roddick in a pulsating final. Federer reached the final of the US Open losing to Juan Martin Del Potro, who using the K Six One 95, had an excellent year finishing the season as world number 5. Federer, regaining his crown as world number one from Rafael Nadal, is now only the second player since Lendl in 1989 to ever regain the number 1 spot since the rankings began in 1973. The Wilson Six One Tour is the ultimate control tennis racket, providing total control and perfect feel, and is perfect for county players with a long swing style. Serena Williams, using the Wilson K Blade Team, finishes as world number 1 on the ladies WTA circuit. Serena’s season has been excellent; she won both Wimbledon and the Australian Open along with 3 grand slam doubles titles with her sister Venus. However her superb season has been over shadowed by her on court behaviour at the US Open in her semi final match against Kim Clijsters, and she has now received a 3 year suspended ban from the US Open and an $82,500 fine. The Wilson K Blade Team is offers excellent control, whilst not been short on power, from a lightweight frame. news created on: Friday the 4 of December 2009 at 15:38:52 by Paul.
